I’m confident that you have struggled with trying to be perfect at some point in your life. It’s a common thing that we do. Sometimes, we aren’t even aware that we’re doing it. As humans, it’s in our nature to want to do our best. That’s completely normal. But the dangers come in when we place unrealistic expectations on ourselves to be perfect.

I’ve been dealing with perfectionism for most of my life. It wasn’t until recently that I became aware of how it was affecting me. Once I was aware, I got intentional about making changes in my life to overcome my perfectionist tendencies.

In this episode, I help you understand what perfectionism is, what it isn’t, five dangers of being a perfectionist, and how you can also overcome it.

As with anything, it takes time for you to change. The first step is becoming aware. Then you can take the necessary steps to make a change for the better. I’m still working on it, but I’m much better than I used to be.

I hope that you hear something that resonates with you. I invite you to listen with an open mind and heart, so you can receive what you need in your life.

I’d love to hear your thoughts on this topic. You can leave a comment at http://ericablocker.com/132 or email me at: Erica@momswithdreams.com.

Until next time, reclaim YOUR dream. Do what YOU love. Make a difference.

Take care,

Erica

In this episode, I’m diving into an emotionally-focused conversation with Isabel Hundt, a public speaker, certified transformation coach, emotions-clearing practitioner, and author of The Power of Faith-Driven Success.

During our talk, Isabel shares her expertise around navigating your emotional world and how your emotions create your experiences.

We discuss the difference between being an empath a highly-sensitive individual.

Isabel sheds light on how to recognize your unique gifts and us them to perform your life work.

In a transparent moment, Isabel shares feelings, that she experienced after her son was born, that most women aren’t willing to admit.

You’ll gain insight on how to become an observer rather than a victim and become aware of your thought patterns and stories.

Before we wrap up, Isabel shares a powerful success strategy for mompreneurs and words of wisdom for moms in general.

Listen with an open heart and receive what you need in your life from our conversation.

In this solo episode, I’m encouraging you to slow down and enjoy the journey to your dreams. In our fast-paced society, we do a lot of rushing around from one thing to the next, and we’ve developed a mindset that doing things fast is the only way to achieve success.

I’m challenging you to change your mind about that. Instead, I want you to give yourself permission to slow down and find a pace that fits your lifestyle. As moms, we have a lot on our plates. We have obligations and responsibilities that take precedence over our wants and desires. And we simply don’t have the luxury of doing everything fast. When we try to do too much too fast, we can start to feel overwhelmed and put ourselves at risk for burnout.

As you listen to this episode, I want you to think about the pace at which you’re currently living your life and pursuing your dreams. Are you living in the moment and enjoying your journey, or are you constantly moving at such a fast pace that makes it difficult for you to enjoy it?

I share tips to help you slow down and enjoy where you are right now. You don’t have to go fast. You’re not competing with anyone. These are your dreams, and you can set your own pace. If you’re consistent, then you’ll eventually get where you want to go.

Do you agree?

I’d love to hear your thoughts on this topic. Let’s continue this conversation below in the comments section. If you’d like to share a personal comment, you can email me at: Erica@momswithdreams.com. I love hearing from you, and I promise that I will respond.

Until next time - Reclaim YOUR dream. Do what YOU love. Make a difference.

Take care,

Erica

Have you ever felt like the way you feel about how you are and what you believe don’t match how you’re living your life? If your answer is yes, then you’re going to love my conversation in this episode.

Lucinda White is an Inner Wildness Guide, an expert in the process of self-discovery and personal transformation, and author of Confessions of a Bone Woman: Realizing Authentic Wildness in a Civilized World. Through private coaching, public speaking, and her writing, Lucinda teaches how to be authentically wild in a civilized world.

In this episode, Lucinda helps you understand why you may have, at some point or another, felt disconnected from who you truly are and how you’re living your life and showing up in the world.

Lucinda explains how this is a common thing that most people experience, and how you can reconnect with your “authentic wildness”. This term may be unfamiliar to you right now, but after listening to our conversation, you’ll know exactly what it is and how it relates to you.

During our talk, Lucinda shares key points about acknowledging your feelings and understanding how they support you in your journey. She shares advice to help you reconnect with your inner self by connecting with nature, and much more.

Listen with an open mind and heart, so you can receive Lucinda’s message and apply it in your life as you see fit.

This has to be one of the most personal episodes that I’ve shared to date on my podcast. To be quite honest, I got a little nervous when my editor told me that it was ready to go because that meant it was getting closer to me sharing one of my most recent struggles with the entire world. I’m not even sure why I started to feel this way – especially because I know other people have gone through this before.

Even though I know I’m not the only person who’s ever gone through this, I was having a little fear of being judged. It’s scary to be vulnerable and put your truth out there for the world to know. But at the end of the day, this isn’t about me. And if I can help at least one person by sharing my struggles and my truth, then I’m doing exactly what I’ve been called to do.

That said, this week’s episode is about me sharing a personal dilemma that I had, which caused me to doubt myself and consider quitting. Yup, that’s right! I had gotten myself all worked up to the point where I was ready to throw in the towel and disappear into the land of nothingness – doing nothing after work except for sitting on the couch and watching television. (Luckily, I saved myself from that misery lol).

I tell you all about what I was going through and I even let you know about a business that I started last year, which I’ve never even mentioned on my podcast until now.

After I spill all of my truth, I share what I did to help myself get out of my own way and back on track (this is where I found my sweet spot J). I mention that one of the things that helped me get back on track was the book, Feel Free to Prosper: Two Weeks to Unexpected Income with the Simplest Prosperity Laws Available by Marilyn Jenett. I highly recommend that you read this book – it will change your life! You can get your copy here.

Maybe you’ll relate personally to my struggle, and maybe you won’t. Even if you’ve never faced this challenge, my hope is that you take something with you that will help you get through a struggle you’re facing. I also hope that you realize that quitting isn’t the answer. There’s a solution to every problem – we just have to be willing to search for a solution and implement what we learn.

Thank you for listening and for being here with me on this incredible life journey. As you’ll hear in this episode, I don’t have it all figured out, but I’m enjoying the process and valuable life lessons as they come.

If you love this podcast, I hope that you’ll subscribe here on Apple Podcasts. You can also listen on my website at http://ericablocker.com, Android App, Stitcher, and now Spotify - yippee!!

I’d love to hear your thoughts about this episode. You can leave a comment below or you can email me directly at Erica@momswithdreams.com. I promise that I will respond to you.

Until next time – Reclaim YOUR dream. Do what YOU love. Make a Difference.

Blessings and love,

Erica
