When was the last time you declared, “I LOVE MY LIFE”? If you’re like most women, it isn’t something that you say or think about on a regular basis. We often get caught up in our daily routines, which can quickly leave us feeling like we’re just going through the motions.

Not anymore! It’s a new year, and it’s time to change the way that you look at your life.

This week on the podcast, I sat down with the lovely and talented Stevii Aisha Mills, Founder of the I Love My Life Movement. Stevii is an outstanding motivational speaker who connects with her audience by being her true self. She wholeheartedly believes that, when people are given the tools to succeed, there is no stopping their potential.

In this episode, we talk about:

  • what it means to truly love your life and how to do that
  • how to pick yourself up after hitting rock bottom
  • when you know it’s time for a major change in your life
  • knowing when to make small shifts in your life
  • building your dream business while working your full-time job
  • dealing with identity crisis and the fear of “showing up” on social media
  • and more…

Projects, Resources, and Suggestions

Stevii’s current project:

Shift! Teleseminar on January 28, 2017 – a conversation about making shifts in your life to create the change you desire

Stevii Suggests that you Watch:

Hidden Figures, the movie starring Taraji P. Henson, Janelle Monae, Kevin Costner and Kirsten Dunst Stevii was inspired after watching this movie and felt like she could do all things! Her takeaway is that you don’t ever want to become a hidden figure of your brand.

Stevii invites you to join her membership program, I Love My Life Ambassadors, where women are empowering themselves and stepping out to build a life they love.

  • What content creation means and why it’s so important for your business
  • How to convey your message and attract clients to your brand

“Remember that, when you leave the room, whatever people whisper about you is who you are or what your product is. Make that product live for greatness.” ~Porsha Hargrove

Being a successful business owner requires that you make your brand visible for people to know what you offer and how you can help them. If people don’t know who you are and what you do, how can they hire you to help them?

That’s what this week’s episode is about – public relations and how you can use it to make yourself and your brand visible.

My guest this week is Porsha Hargrove, BA, publicist and CEO of Porsha Hargrove PR and Consulting, LLC. With more than 20 years of experience in public relations, marketing, mass communications, radio, television, and community relations, Porsha knows what you can do to increase your visibility and reach the people who need your products and services.

Even if you’re just getting started and have a very small or no budget for public relations, there are things that you can do to get your business out there.

In this episode, you’ll learn:

  • The easiest way to gain visibility when you’re just getting started
  • The difference between public relations and marketing
  • How to know which social media platform(s) to use for your business
  • The most overlooked, yet highly valuable social media platform for any business
  • How to be your own publicist before you’re able to hire a professional
  • How to build your brand through relationships
  • Why going back to the basics is crucial to your success
  • And more…

You’ll also find out what lessons you can learn from the popular movie, The Devil Wears Prada.

How to Connect with Porsha Online

Porsha Hargrove can be found by doing a quick Google search of her name, and you’ll find her on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and Google +.

Porsha’s Parting Words of Wisdom

“Don’t be afraid. Take a chance. There really are no mistakes. Move forward and remember to network – you are a product and someone’s always looking at you and learning from you.”
