In this episode, I talk with Carly Evans, the founder of Coach Carly and Phoenix Transformation. Carly lives in Perth, Australia with her fiancée, step son, bulldogs and carpet python and spends her days helping others to transform their lives through life coaching, energy healing and teaching Reiki.

Carly and I discuss the challenge of putting your life back together after major events or  trauma such as divorce, depression, having children and other events that can alter your life. She offers insight and tips to help you stop surviving and start thriving.

We also talk about limiting beliefs – where they come from and how to change the way you think so you can change your life.

Carly’s Recommended Reading:

The Big Leap, by Gay Hendricks, which helps readers understand how they may be sabotaging themselves in different ways and how they can discover their zone of genius.

Quotes and Highlights:

“I really feel like my niche found me because I saw how restless people are, stuck in limbo and really don’t know what to do about it.”

“You gradually have to chip away at stuff that’s holding you back and implement what will help you move forward.”

Carly’s Parting Words of Wisdom:

“Really connect in with yourself. Stop connecting so much with people online and spend some time each day with you.”

I enjoyed my conversation with Carly and all of the golden nuggets that she shared. I want to remind you that, no matter what you’re facing right now, there are better days ahead and you have everything inside that you need to get through life’s challenges. Take it one day at a time and keep moving forward to the life you deeply desire and deserve.

Marije Pathuis-Wahle is a Women’s Excellence Coach at the Women’s Academy, an NLP practitioner, food coach and a personal trainer. After years of neglecting herself, feeling miserable and exhausted in an unfulfilling job, Marije decided she needed a major change in her life. And that’s what she did. She took back her power and changed her body, her wisdom, her space, her wealth and relationships. Now she helps other women unlock their excellence, reach their full potential and do their part to make the world a better place.

Marije’s core belief:

“When we empower women, we grow love. When we grow love, we create peace. When women are listening to their deeper knowing, they know what is good for humanity and the world. They access that ultimate power of creation.”

In this episode, Marije shares her journey from “a very bad place” to a thriving life, using her full potential to make a difference.

Quotes and Highlights:

“If you’re in a very bad place, you have the catalyst to change.”

“I changed my beliefs and shifted my mindset from telling myself that I can’t change to telling myself that I can change.”

“If I want to change my life, I need to have the energy and feel good physically. So I changed my body by eating healthier stuff”

“When you change your health – your body – you gain so much clarity.”

“I can do something that I love and I can make money doing it.”

“I’d gone through change in my life before, but this time was different because I knew WHY I needed to change.”

“A lot of women aren’t doing what they love because they’re not listening to themselves – they are more worried about what other people may think of them and how they will judge them.”

“My mission is to empower women to listen to their inner voice and trust themselves.”

“All your habits, decisions and what you’re doing in your life have to do with your beliefs.”

“Sometimes you have to get rid of some friendships because they’re actually blocking your progress in pursuing the life that you love.”

“When you want to make a change in your life, you have to have a holistic approach and look at all areas of your life instead of focusing on one thing.”

Marije’s Recommended Reading:
A New Earth: Awakening to Your Life’s Purpose by Eckhart Tolle

While reading this book, Marije achieved total bliss. It’s a great book to help you put things in perspective and live in the now.

Helping others achieve their dreams has always been Joe Pardo’s goal in life. In early 2014, he left his family’s $100 million business to pursue his goal and became a 4th generation entrepreneur. Joe started the Dreamers Podcast soon after his exit from the family business to inspire others to dream big. He continues to give back and make an impact through this work with start-ups, afterschool programs and his educational conferences.

In this episode, Joe pulls back curtain and shares some of the not-so-glamorous moments in the life of an entrepreneur.

You’ll hear about:

  • how Joe figured out what he was going to do with his life
  • the power in going back to your childhood dream to connect with your purpose
  • why you need to be super clear on what “the life of your dream” looks like before you can start living it
  • being honest with yourself about what you’re willing to do to make your dream happen
  • why you should know what you love to do and how you can bring that into your vision
  • Joe’s philosophy for living a happy life (it’s easier than you think)
  • being creative with your skills to generate income, especially when you’re brand new in business
  • the struggle of being a full-time entrepreneur and some of Joe’s tips to help you get through those rough times

Be sure to check out Joe’s podcast, books and courses while you’re there.

I hope you enjoyed my talk with Joe today. He gave you his honest experience as an entrepreneur without all the glitz and glamour. It’s definitely not an easy road, but it’s worth it when you get to do what you love and make a difference.

If you have any questions about how you can start living the life you love, you can always email me at Erica@momswithdreams.com.

I’ll be back with you next week.

Take care,

Erica
